We’re here to help

Pain management therapies allow us to treat, minimize, eliminate and/or cure patient discomfort, pain and chronic pain through the injection of medications into the affected areas, the blocking of pain nerves and the promotion of healing.

Our comprehensive range of therapies cover complaints such as arthritis or persistent joint pain; soft tissue inflammation or pain; Bakers cyst; joint or soft tissue injuries and nerve pain, to name a few.

We offer solutions for pain symptoms throughout the musculoskeletal system, associated tissues and nerves, including pain in joints like ankles, elbows, hips, knees, lumbar spine, shoulders, thumbs and wrists.

With the help of image-guided pain therapy, we can help patients to manage and overcome pain symptoms in a manner that is risk-free and often immediate.

With our state-of-the-art pain management solutions, we are able to significantly reduce the need for excessive medication, thus diminishing unpleasant side effects and the development of unwanted medicine-induced conditions.

With proper pain management therapies such as we provide, patients are able to undertake effective physiotherapy routines with greater comfort.

With appropriate pain management, patients are able to resume their daily routines and activities while awaiting surgery or other treatments and even, when therapy is especially effective, eliminate the need for surgery and other treatments altogether.

What therapies are used?

Our pain management procedures include a wide variety of effective injectable therapies, including:

Cortisone

Cortisone is a steroidal injection therapy that effectively treats the pain associated with inflammation in soft tissues and joints, by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators into the effected area.

Its many applications include the treatment of pain associated with arthritis, injury or inflammation around a tendon.

Monovisc®

Monovisc® is a joint lubricating, single injection therapy effective in the symptomatic treatment of knee and hip pain associated with osteoarthritis.

Cingal®

Cingal® is a single injection therapy comprising both a steroid and a hyaluronic acid joint lubricating fluid component, effective in the immediate and long-lasting relief of pain in the knee joints.

Botox®

Botox® is a purified complex protein effective in the treatment of chronic migraine pain in adults. It is cyclically injected into areas containing nerve fibers associated with headaches, where it blocks the release of molecules associated with pain transmission, thus preventing the activation of pain networks within the brain.

Durolane®

Durolane® is a single injection hyaluronic acid treatment that relieves the pain associated with osteoarthritis in small and large joints, by providing lubrication and cushioning for the joints.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

This cutting edge treatment effectively reduce pain associated with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including injured tendons, shoulder pain, knee pain and rotator-cuff tears.

During this procedure, blood is drawn from the patient and centrifuged in order to isolate and extract platelet rich plasma, the body’s own concentrated healing solution.

The plasma is then injected back into the body at the affected site, to amplify the natural healing process, thus reducing pain.

Radiofrequency Neurotomy (RFN)

Highly effective in the relief of chronic neck and back pain associated with conditions of, for example, the facet and sacroiliac joints, this non-surgical procedure involves the application of heat to temporarily and partially degenerate the specific spinal nerve fibers associated with the transmission of pain.

This treatment provides an effective long term solution, as it is known to eliminate pain for approximately 6-12 months before a follow-up treatment is required.
