KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Perform ultrasound examinations, tailoring exams based on findings, while abiding by the standards of professional practice.
• Ability to differentiate normal vs. abnormal sonographic findings using knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
• Ensuring the appropriate exam is performed according to physicians’ orders and patient history.
• Ability to perform a wide range of sonographic exams including General and OB.
• Echocardiography, Vascular, and MSK Ultrasound are considered optional for this position.
• Confirmed excellence in interpersonal/communication skills.
• Positive patient care experience.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate initiative and good judgement.
  Demonstrate technical computer skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Completion on an accredited ultrasound program
• Active registration with Sonography Canada with Liability insurance and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Monographers (ARDMS)
